{HOVER OVER}
6 meter repeater that may provide communications to Eastern Washington

With the final EOC-to-EOC '5th Saturday' COMMEX of 2018 coming up two
days from now it pleases us to advise you of a new 6m repeater that
provides some VHF east-west coverage over the Cascade mountain range.
The repeater is the result of a multi-year effort by Stan Nelson, K7DKK.
It is located on a 6180' hilltop in the north western corner of Yakima
County.

The repeater's output is on 53.670 MHz, with its input a minus shift of
1.7 MHz and a CTCSS of 100.0 Hz. I have attached a estimated coverage
plot.

The repeater is currently in a test status. Stan informs me that the RF
exciter output is presently 15 watts and the antenna is lower that its
final intended height. The RF output should increase to 100 watts
mid-summer of 2019.

In a brief trial earlier this week the RACES station at Camp Murray hit
the repeater with a clean signal from two of the three 6m antennas tried.
Let's give it a trial workout this Saturday!
